Maui - 6

Maui - 6
The Aquarium

Welcome to our sixth day in Maui. We started the day watching whale blows, Myrtle and Lucille while eating our breakfast of toast with Maui honey and pineapple on the lanai. What a beautiful, slow moving morning.

Today we headed to the aquarium. It is one of the top 10 recommended aquariums in the world (according to a tourist magazine). Pt. Defiance in Tacoma has a much larger aquarium. The highlight was watching the 3D documentary on the humpback whales. If you ever go to Maui, you must go to the aquarium for the documentary (yes, it costs a little more, but well worth the cost).

We headed to Wailea for lunch and landed at Pita Center. It is a Greek restaurant that serves an "owner's catch of the day." Today's catch was swordfish. Scott ordered the catch of the day pita pocket and I ordered the catch of the day salad. Our thought was to split the orders at the table, but when we told the waitress our plans, our orders came to us already split. At no extra cost. Neither of us had ever had swordfish, but we loved the taste. It was cooked to perfection.

After lunch we headed to the chocolate shop for gifts. A couple of people should be very happy. Prices were reasonable and they had great customer service.

Then it was back to the condo for more time in the hot tub and on the lanai. It was a very relaxing day.

Dinner included veggies, Nancy's cookies, some macadamia nuts and ice cream of course. Scott and I end every dinner with ice cream. Or sometimes it is ice cream.

We had a lovely evening watching the ocean and sunset. Until next time, here are a few more pictures from our whale watching trip on day three. There include looking back at the land. Look at how blue the water is.
